Planning a safe and fun playdate

I want to organise a playdate for a small group of families, but I’ll admit safety is my biggest worry—especially since we’ll have kids of different ages, including a few toddlers who can be unpredictable. I’d love everyone to have a good time without stressing that someone’s going to get hurt or feel left out. I’ve been looking at different options that might keep things simple but safe, and found https://essexsoftplaybus.co.uk/ which has a soft play bus with staff that help set the rules and keep an eye on things. Has anyone tried something like that, or have tips for planning a playdate where the focus is on fun, but everyone stays safe and included?

Yeah, we did the soft play bus for a mixed-age group and it was actually way less stressful than the park. The staff handled safety and made sure everyone knew the rules, so parents could actually relax a bit. Even at home, setting clear boundaries, having a chill-out spot for little ones, and keeping snacks handy goes a long way. The simpler, the better—kids are just happy to play together!
