Where can I find a good painter?

I’m currently obsessed with the Scandinavian minimalist look, but my current house is a riot of bold colors and heavy textures from the previous owners. I want to transition to a gallery-white finish throughout the ground floor, but I’m worried it’s going to look "cold" or show every single imperfection in the plaster. I’ve heard that achieving a perfect white finish is actually harder than working with dark colors because there’s nowhere for shadows or mistakes to hide. Does anyone have advice on how to get that high-end, seamless look without it looking like a hospital?

Achieving that "museum-grade" white finish is definitely a challenge that requires an expert hand and high-quality materials. When we did our renovation, we consulted with some expert painters and decorators in London who explained the importance of "skimming" the walls first to ensure an entirely flat surface. They recommended specific off-white tones that have warm undertones to keep the house feeling cozy rather than clinical. The level of sanding and buffing they did between coats was something I never would have had the patience for, but the result was a velvety, perfect finish that looks incredible.
