In recent years, we have seen digital games become more and more immersive, with huge virtual worlds, stunning graphics, and complex mechanics that can keep you hooked for hours and days. However, there are a few factors that I believe explain the resurgence of board games. As https://www.eastmojo.com/em-buzz/2025/02/18/reverse-gaming-evolution-when-digital-natives-rediscover-physical-board-games/ says, it is the need for social interaction. Think about how much time we spend in front of screens: when playing mobile or computer games, we often interact with people through chat or voice communication, but we are still physically alone with the device. So when you want to spend time with friends, why not choose a board game where everyone sits at the same table, can joke, communicate, and most importantly - see each other? It is not the same as sitting in front of screens. After all, even in multiplayer online games there is a feeling of loneliness - virtual reality, no matter how realistic it is, still cannot replace live communication. This is especially important for people who are tired of digital overload and want to "disconnect" from technology a little.

It's interesting, I just recently tried board games with friends, and it was really special. All those moments when you can just sit at the same table and play the game with your friends, and not look at the screen, and not feel distracted. But for me, the main reason why I became interested in board games is precisely because they do not require a constant subscription or purchase of content, like in mobile games. You buy everything once and for all, and then you can play as much as you want. Plus, it's a great way to just spend time with loved ones.
