The Role of Video Consultations in ADHD Diagnoses
I’ve been considering getting an ADHD assessment, but I’m not sure how effective video consultations are compared to in-person visits. Has anyone here gone through an online assessment? Do they actually feel personal, or is it just like answering a questionnaire with someone watching? I worry that small details might get overlooked if the doctor isn't physically present. Also, how do they assess hyperactivity when you’re just sitting in front of a screen? I’d love to hear some real experiences before I decide.

That’s really interesting to hear! I’ve always assumed video consultations would be less accurate because doctors can’t observe body language as much. But I guess a lot of ADHD symptoms show up in how someone speaks and thinks rather than just physical movement. It’s good to know they focus on those aspects too. The quick access to a specialist sounds like a major plus, especially when waiting times for in-person assessments can be ridiculously long.
