Mobile Travel and Navigation

Last month, I went on a short trip and relied entirely on my phone for directions, tickets, and even restaurant reviews. It made the trip smoother, but I also felt a bit disconnected from truly exploring. I’m curious if other travelers feel that relying too much on mobile tech takes away from spontaneous discoveries, or if it actually makes travel more enjoyable.

I know exactly what you mean. Using phones while traveling is a blessing and a curse. The mobile-first generation article I read at https://lyncconf.com/the-mobile-first-generation/ explains how mobile devices have become central to daily life, including travel habits. Personally, I use my phone for navigation and booking, but I also try to leave it in my bag at certain times, like walking around a new city without checking maps constantly. This way, I get the convenience of technology while still enjoying unexpected experiences and discoveries.
